This is it friends…Thanksgiving is this week which means ready or not let the Holiday hustle begin! I will say, Thanksgiving is one of my favorites so I make a big effort to give it its glory. Don’t get me wrong, I’m itching to get my house decorated for Christmas, but that happens the day after!
I have partnered with Oriental Trading to create this simple, but beautiful tablescape.
This year I will be hosting dinner for 15 which makes me giddy, the more the merrier! I am however planning to make things a little more “no-fuss”, which means I miiiiiight be buying the premade mashed potatoes from Costco because they are amazing, and I have let my guests bring their signature dishes, which leaves less time in the kitchen for me!
Another tip is paper plates. I know…paper plates?? Honestly though, have you seen how beautiful some of them are?? I found these pretty floral plates and napkins from Oriental Trading and loved the colors and the touch of gold. Paired with chargers and glassware, you almost forget you can throw them away at the end of the night!
For an easy centerpiece, I gathered up things I had around my house, like the cake stand, votive holders, and inexpensive table runner…I went to my backyard and clipped cedar branches and sprigs of fresh rosemary…and done!
I’m the first to admit, I LOVE a pretty table, and I love creating a tablescape that will make my guests feels special. I also know that being present and a wonderful hostess means not fussing over the dishes, letting others help, and just enjoying the day…so that is exactly what I plan to do!
Happy Thanksgiving to you! I hope your day is filled with friends and family, and this is a Thanksgiving to remember!
