The moment the calendar turns to October I crave cozy, candles, pumpkins, cable knit sweaters, boots, anything pumpkin…well, you get the idea. Those things are what inspired me to create this tablescape on a beautiful crisp fall day.
A wool plaid blanket seemed like the perfect first layer, and from there the layers continued. I always have to add a bit of nature on my table whether its a mossy branch, pinecones or twigs…it just really grounds a design for me.
The plates and silver goblets were inherited treasures, and yet the cloth napkins are a recent Target find….mixing the old with the new gives interest. I loved the idea of having a couple cozy throws tossed on the chairs to be used by guests around their shoulders or across their lap. 
I hope this inspires you to create a table this season to gather around with those you love.
