My sweet Lucy turned 12 this year and just started middle school…stop time please!!
This year for her party she wanted to invite 5 of her closest friends for a late night get-together. Her favorite color is mint, so a mint, gold, black and white party was the request. Ask and you shall receive! I found all the perfect supplies from Oriental Trading!
The girls loved that I set them a “fancy” table in their own private dining room.
They dined on Mac and Cheese, Cesar Salad, Strawberries, 6 layer dip and lots of chips. Their favorite though was the Sparkling cider poured over rock candy sticks served in champagne flutes! The rock candy turns the cider colors…for us it was turquoise.
I loved the shape of the chevron mint plates, and how cute are the gold heart plates?? Little gift boxes were at each place setting filled with gold chocolate candies.
Lucy is not a big cake girl, so I thought it would be fun to make mini cupcake push pops!! These were the perfect size, fun to eat and tasted delicious!!
We did a couple crafts which always make a party fun. Each girl brought a t-shirt and I supplied pillow forms and we made these pillows. So cute and easy! Ribbon chokers were the other craft…just ribbon cut to size, fastened with velcro dots and a jewel glued on!
Overall, it was a simple party spent eating, laughing, and just having fun together!
Happy Birthday Lucy Joy…we love you!
xoxo~Dawn
