Oh that January feeling. There is nothing like that first month of the year to set new goals for ourselves! One goal that many of us set is, to take care of ourselves. For some that means joinging a gym, focusing on self-care, or my personal fitness goal, get outside! Whether you are looking for a new gym, or a new hiking trail, I’ve got you covered. I’m sharing some really great options right here in Auburn for you to give yourself a little TLC!
Get Outside!
Auburn has some really great parks and trails. You can walk along the White River or hike the forest trails behind Green River Community College, not to mention just a place to take the kids to burn off some energy! Below are some of my favorite parks and trails.

Flaming Geyser Park – Open year round with some great easy trails tucked inside.
Roegner Park – This community park is right along the banks of the White River. It has picnic shelters, an off leash dog area, and a play structure!
Sewerline and West Pond Loop – Sewerline and West Pond Loop is a 2.8 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Green River Community College. It is great hiking, running, and nature trips…and some amazing leaf viewing in the Fall!

Play a little sports!
Auburn is home to two fantastic Golf courses. Whether you are looking to practice your swing, or hit a bucket of balls you will LOVE both of these courses!
Auburn Golf Course – The Auburn Golf Course is nestled along the Green River and situated on 150 acres, A full-service 18-hole facility, the fair but challenging par 71 course is just over 6,450 yards. You can also grab a bite to eat at Bogey’s Public House

Washington National Golf Course – Washington National Golf Club is the proud home to the University of Washington’s Men’s and Women’s golf teams. This course has rugged transitional areas, white sand bunkers, emerald fairways, and a fantastic Pro Shop!
