Last night I attended a fun event put on by Westfield Southcenter and My Style Suite. This was part two of a three part series they’re putting on about personal Style.
The event is held in the My Style Suite inside the mall and is a gorgeous bright space. Guests were greeted with great music, margaritas and appetizers from Moctezuma’s Restaurant, and a yummy candy bar from Lolli & Pops (and I have to mention the rose’ gummy bears..oh my!), and a fab swag bag!
The topic for the evening was Street Style. Street style meaning when you see a woman while you’re out and think to yourself “I love her look!” The panel consisted of four Seattle style bloggers who each pulled day and night looks from various retailers.

This was my very first “blogger” event, and to be completely honest, I was a little, well…alot, out of my comfort zone. I am just a slight bit ahem…older, than most of these girls, so I think that was my biggest hang up about attending one of these events, but all my insecurities were put aside when introductions were made and alot of them were following me!
The show was done in a runway style and then panelists shared their inspo for their outfits.
The girls pulled looks that they would want to wear themselves, so it was fun to see their personal style translated onto the models. Most of these looks felt a bit young for me, but I had a few faves and thought it would be fun to share how I would change it up to suite my style!
I love a great boho look, so this one spoke to me. Palazzo pants are a fave of mine and this lace topper was so cute. My only change for this would be the top. I love the scarf “top” idea, but would love mine to be a bit longer with more coverage (wink wink).
I love a cute bright pant and actually own this blazer vest. My change would be the crop top..a longer length lace tank would do it for me…again the theme for the 40+, a little more coverage..haha!

The 70’s vibe is alive and well and I love it! I am a big fan of the cropped flare jean so I “dug” this look.
Fringe was shown quite a bit and my 80’s side loves that too! The straw clutch with the pom poms has been on my radar, so it was fun to see that in person!
This was such a fun event, and dare I say, I plan on attending the next one! Style is personal and ageless, and there is a place for each of us…so find yours and embrace it!
