I am excited to share this styled Grad Party I did for Oriental Trading Company. I am a huge fan of their company, and can find products to cover almost any party theme I can dream up!
My son is graduated from Washington State University, so choosing my products was a no-brainer!
When styling this party, I thought it would be fun to change up our Grad Party style from a full blown open house like we did when he graduated from high school, and throw a more intimate dinner party just for our family.
I decided to use my everyday plates as makeshift chargers for the paper plates. I love how it takes the look up a notch! I also like the idea of having all the napkins, cups and plates matching in our WSU theme.
The DIY Graduation Candy Cups were so easy to make and look great at every place setting. These are fun to munch on during the party or make a great take-away party favor.
I am such of fan of these giant mylar letter balloons. You could do the university letters like I did here, or you could choose 2016 or your favorite grad’s initals. I blew these up myself because I didn’t need them to float, but if you take them to your local grocery store they will fill them with helium at a reasonable price or you could purchase your own helium tank. These fun tissue fans give another layer to the backdrop too!
If you are looking for a gift idea for the grads on your list, make sure to check out my DIY Graduation Cap Gift Boxes and also the yummy recipe for my Chocolate Cookie Pops!
Cheers to the Class of 2016!
