The Everyday Guide to Shopping the Nordstrom Sale!

Well, here we are again, the Annual Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I think there are definitely 2 solid camps when it comes to this sale, Love it or Leave it! Which are you? I fall into the love it category with a grain of salt. It can be completely overwhelming, and I will be honest I have overthought and over-purchased MANY times! So here you have, The Everyday Guide to Shopping the Nordstrom Sale!

My new strategy, learn from past mistakes, only buy what I truly love, and stick to classics and basics for the most part! I am going to do a few posts here, but thought I would “kick” it off with what is on my wishlist! So let’s get started!

Shoes are always my first stop! This year, I am looking at adding a couple of new boots to my collection. These Paige boots are GORGEOUS! I love this classic style and color which will work with dresses and jeans. They are definitely an investment, but a pair I would have for years! I also am considering a lower-heel white bootie. I love the slightly higher shaft and heel height on these Franco Sarto boots.

Coats and Blazers are always a good idea! Every year I buy at least one of these items. If you are in need of a classic camel coat, this Ralph Lauren one is BEAUTIFUL! I also really love this wool blend crop jacket. So chic!

Denim is my downfall! I need another pair of jeans like I need a hole in my head, but, this sale is a great opportunity to buy a brand that I would not normally spend money on like Frame and Mother jeans. This pair from Frame is a style I currently don’t have and I love the two-button detail.

Sweaters are a staple. I will admit, I bought my share of long cardigans during this sale and was a little happy to see something different. This cute Nordstrom Signature wool & cashmere stripe is so fun and unexpected!

Designer accessories are a great purchase! Now is a great time to purchase a new designer handbag or sunglasses. I have NEVER had a pair of designer sunnies, and think this might be the year I treat myself! There are some really fabulous styles, but I need to try them on to be sure. This pair by Dolce & Gabbana have caught my eye so far!

So, there you have my wishlist. It could change, but right now these are the things I am loving. Here are a couple of my tips:

1. Don’t buy it because it’s on sale!
2. If it sells out, chances are it will be restocked, and if not, it wasn’t meant to be!
3. Pay for 2-day shipping or opt to pick it up in-store.
4. Shop online, the selection is much better than in-store!
5. Stock up on basics that you know you need!
