*Thank you to Green Rubino and The Lodge at St. Edward State Park for sponsoring this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own!
Just 30 minutes outside of Seattle, The Lodge at St. Edward State Park opened in May 2021 as an upscale hotel, restaurant and spa nestled in a 326 -acre state park. Dating back to the 1920’s Saint Edward Seminary was built as a sacred place of learning. My husband and I were gifted a night at this magical place, and we cannot wait to return.

Upon arrival you immediately are in awe of the beautifully preserved brick, windows and bell tower gracing the entrance, as well as, Otto the unofficial mascot.

I truly could not believe my luck, as they had just decorated for Christmas the week before my arrival.

The Lodge at St. Edwards State Park consists of 5 stories. Floor One hosts The Tonsorium Bar, meeting rooms, a gym and the amazing Vita Nova Spa. On Floor Two you will find Registration, Father Mulligan’s Heritage Bar, Cedar + Elm restaurant, beautiful artwork by local artists, and additional meeting rooms. Floor 3 and 4 is where you will find guestrooms, and the Library.

The original Bell Tower is still in tact, and we were lucky to be able to get a peek, and see the amazing views!

Cedar + Elm is the onsite restaurant. “The Cedar + Elm menu is matched in style and artistry by the historic dining space. A nod to the restaurant’s former life as the Saint Edward Seminary dining hall, the light-filled dining room highlights original design details with a touch of modern comfort. The terrace allows for seasonal outdoor dining to soak in the tranquil natural beauty of the surrounding Saint Edward State Park.”

The grounds are beautiful with lots of trails to take you through the wood and down to Lake Washington, or take a stroll to the Grotto. During the warmer months you can find lawn games happening outside as well.

I was so excited to be able to visit the Vita Nova Spa and enjoy their current Autumn Glow Special. This consisted of a 60min Personalized Vita Nova Massage, 30min Pumpkin Puree & yogurt Body Wrap. The staff at the spa were so friendly, and my masseuse, Jeremy, was fantastic! If you would like to experience this amazing spa, you can use my code, DAWN15 for 15% off any service thru 12.31.22.

If you are local and need a staycation, or are headed to the Pacific Northwest, I cannot recommend The Lodge at St. Edward State Park enough. It is so thoughtfully preserved and sophisticated, you will enjoy every moment.
