Well, its week number…umm do we even know what week we’re on, and does it really matter? What we do know is all of our lives have done a complete 360 and we are operating from a very different perspective. While what we are all experiencing right now is far from “normal”, it helps to put some things into play that can make us feel a little more comfortable with our situation.
I have been fortunate, to be able to work form home this past month , and along with working my blog/brand, I have figured out a few things that work well for me to feel productive and on task!
TIPS FOR WORKING FROM HOME:

GRAB YOUR FAVORITE COFFE MUG!
I start everday with coffee, but there is something about using a cute cup that makes me feel like I have it together, just a bit!
GET DRESSED
I have at least one or two Zoom calls a day, so this has been a great motivator for me! I am not necessarily wearing “work clothes”, but I am NOT in my pajamas! If it helps to get you movtivated to work out, put your workout clothes on, and then there are no excuses!
PUT ON MAKEUP/DO YOUR HAIR
One of the benefits of all this “at home” time, is giving my skin a break from the everyday makeup routine. However, I do put on tinted sunscreen, blush/bronzer, a little mascara, and lip gloss. Next, do your hair! Whether it’s a quick messy bun or pony tail, just do a little more than thrown on a hat!
CREATE A WORK SPACE
Whether you’re working in your office, or using the dining room table, create a space that motivates you to feel productive. Ideally, working in your bedroom, does not conjure feelings of productiveness! I have desk set up with a pretty Anthro candle, cute notebooks, and lately even a space heater to feel cozy! Having this space, makes me comfortable while there, but at the end of the day, I can walk away and feel like I left “work”!
COMMUNICATE WITH CO-WORKERS
Our team has created Thursday coffee chats, which we all look forward to so much! It is a great way for all of us to feel like we are still part of a team with the same common goals.
TAKE BREAKS!
Get up, stretch your legs, grab some water, go for a quick walk. The first couple of weeks, I found I never left my chair the whole day, and that quickly became evident it wasn’t a good idea. So take some time to walk away and you’ll come back feeling refreshed!
BLUELIGHT BLOCKER GLASSES
As if we weren’t spending enought time on out phones and computers…now the time has gone up considerably. If you don’t currently own a pair of bluelight blocking glasses…I highly recommend. You will instantly notice a difference, and if you experience headaches from screen time…game changer! These are my favorites, and use code PARTYTILDAWN25 for 25% off!

So, there you have some of my tips that have been working for me! My biggest tip, give yourself (and your spouse 😉 GRACE! We are all experiencing this time of uncertainty together, and anxiety is high for most of us…so one day at a time, and everday let yourself #findthesilverlining !
Be well, stay safe…and STAY HOME!
XOXO~ Dawn
